Therapy for teens, young adults, and beyond.
Providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore and connect with your genuine, authentic self.
At every stage of life, we encounter moments when extra support can make a real difference. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves in ways that strengthen our ability to meet life’s challenges.
For adults, this might mean working toward deeper fulfillment in relationships, cultivating healthier intimacy and sexuality, or developing a more secure sense of identity. Therapy can also support adults in processing trauma, grief, anxiety, or major life transitions such as parenthood, divorce, or career changes. It’s an opportunity to heal, grow, and move toward a more grounded, authentic life.
For teenagers and young adults, therapy can be especially helpful when navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, or the challenges of middle school, high school, and college. With support, young people can strengthen communication skills, explore gender and sexuality in affirming ways, and build resilience for the future.
About Janah Boccio, Phd, LCSW
With over 20 years of experience as both a psychotherapist and sexuality educator, I bring a unique expertise to my work with clients of all ages. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and relational. I help people build healthier, more authentic connections—with themselves, their partners, their families, and their communities. Together, we create a safe, non-judgmental space to explore what feels difficult, heal what’s painful, and cultivate a life that feels more true and connected.
I like to think of myself as a healer who comes from a long line of healers, which has led me to my life’s passion as a mental health provider. I think this is one of the most meaningful ways to engage with people in the world. It's so powerful and poignant to sit with someone and help them explore and connect with who they are.
I mostly see middle schoolers through the college level, but my psychotherapy practice also welcomes adults and couples.
I am licensed in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine.
Working With Janah
I offer two major areas of support:
I work with teens, young adults, and adults in weekly sessions.
Together, we focus on the areas of life where clients feel stuck—whether in relationships, school, work, or identity. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, using a variety of therapy techniques to meet each person where they are
One-on-One Therapy
In addition to therapy, I offer workshops and trainings for schools, parents, and organizations.
I work with schools on sex education curriculum, giving workshops for teachers and parents, and providing private educational services centered around how to best support trans, LGBTQIA+, nonbinary, and gender expansive students.
